There is a view that traditional classrooms will disappear by 2050. I partially agree with this point of view since AI and technology are growing at a rapid pace and robots can have more knowledge than the majority of people. However, there still will be demand for human teachers rather than robots for several reasons.
One major reason behind my agreement lies in the fact that technologies such as robots have already replaced a number of jobs in recent years. Including artificial intelligence is helping students in a variety of areas in their studies. Therefore, it is possible that by 2050, robots would replace jobs of human teachers. This means that students could study their subjects with their robot teachers individually and efficiently. Students would be able to consume information much more easily and they can find answer for their questions faster. Consequently, demand for the traditional teaching would be gone by 2050.
On the other hand, the typical teaching situation between students and teachers is unlikely to become completely disappeared by 2050 due to emotions teachers possess. To be specific, it is vital for teachers to understand students’ feelings. Especially when children start school, it is essential for teachers to encourage them to study well and interact with them in order to improve their interests to academic world. As for robots, it is difficult for them to have emotions.
To sum up, although there still be demand for human teachers, there is a possibility that traditional teaching would be gone by 2050 due to development of technologies and convenience they offer to students.
