There is a view that traditional classrooms will no longer exist by 2050. I firmly agree with this statement because with the development of technology, AI programmes will take over the position of teachers. In addition, traditional classroom lessons will be replaced by online ones, which will make students’ schedules more flexible.
One compelling argument in favour of my view is that teachers will be taken over by AI programmes. Nowadays, with the development of AI technologies, many professions no longer exist, and this will soon happen with teachers too. These artificial programmes could teach students almost as well as real teachers, or even better. These programmes are designed using advanced technology and have access to various information on almost any subject. Therefore, AI may outperform human teachers in education.
Another significant reason is that the traditional teaching method will be replaced by online learning. It has become widespread all around the world to replace offline teaching with an online alternative. This became particularly evident during Covid-19 in 2020, when universities and schools were closed and lessons were conducted online. Following this period, online learning became popular because of its convenience for everyone, as there weren’t any rules and restrictions. As a result, many people became accustomed to this form of education.
In conclusion, some people believe that by 2050, the face-to-face way of teaching will disappear. I strongly agree with this idea, because with the development of AI technology, it could be possible, as these programmes could take over the position of a teacher. Furthermore, the traditional classroom teaching method will be replaced by an online alternative, since it is a more convenient method of teaching for everyone.
