Since technological development has changed the course of the world over the 21st century, Some statistics show that the use of mobile phones has become as antisocial as smoking, not to mention that some people even suggest that just like smoking, phones should be banned in certain places and areas as well. I agree that in most public places usage of phones should have restrictions, based on what type of social gathering or a place we are in.
Over the years, we all have been addicted to our personal items, such as phones or computers. which has had a significant change in our development, communications, and the inability to pay attention to long conversations or events, which require sharp concentration on the given topic or assignment. For example, children have issues with listening or reading large texts since everything on their iPads or phones is less time-consuming and entertaining to watch, not only children, but adults as well arestruggling with daily conversations and suffer from social anxiety, simply because of their addiction to phones and living in their own “comfort zone” spaces which phones provide.
Another crucial example of why I think phones should get banned from certain places is AI intelligence, which allows students or even teachers to use AI services for answers for their tests and essays, which is causing the human brain to be comfortable not putting in necessary work when it comes to intellectual labor.
In conclusion, both smoking and the addiction to phones are causing discomfort in certain areas of public places, and given the reasons above I believe it should have some restrictions for students and school pupils.
