In contemporary society, a growing proportion of university graduates struggle to find jobs related to their fields of study. This problem has given rise yo notable physical and social issues, but several factors can effectively mitigate this drawback.
Currently one of the main causes of graduates unemployment is improving of AI. For big companies it’s more efficient and cheaper to use AI instead of multiple workers. Secondly, sometimes universities’ programs are mostly theory based, this means that students can’t get enough work experience which leads to misunderstanding and inefficiency during the actual working time. Also sometimes there are too any applicants for the same work spaces. Because of that, some graduates face with unemployment right after finishing universities.
While multiple causes of graduates unemployment exist, there are also solutions of these problems. Firstly, universities may introduce more practice based programs in order to provide students with better work experience. Secondly the problem of high amount of job applicants can be solved by increasing amount of working spaces. For example instead of hiring just one group of doctors, the company can employ two or more and separate them in different blocks of the building so they don’t intersect.
In conclusion, graduates unemployment is mostly caused by AI improvement, lack of work experience and lack of job opportunities. Although the problem is unlikely to disappear completely, substantial improvements could be achieved if universities added more practise and companies increased the amount of work spaces.
