Today, many graduates are finding it increasingly difficult to seek a job after university. Some analysts claim that this will have strong consequences for higher education in the future. I completely agree with this opinion and explain below why.
This problem may be related to several factors. Firstly, in the 21st century, the labor market is undergoing enormous changes. Now it is not profit for many companies to spend time on teaching young employees without practical experience, it is much more beneficial to choose those who have relevant skills even though they are not graduated.
As a result, for example, in the field of IT technologies, a large number of employees without professional education, but with the appropriate skills and abilities, are appearing. There are many courses on the Internet, where IT skills will be easily subjected under scrutiny without studying at a university. In this case, such approach could make it easier to obtain higher education and make it optional.
Secondly, this problem may be related to the demerits of higher education. Some study programs are designed in such way that students begin to get practical skills only at the end of their course. For instance, in some biology universities, students begin learning laboratory science too late in the laboratory diagnostics program. Weakness in using lab equipment is immediately catched during the interviewing of potential candidates, which leads to several rejects due to insufficient experience.
In conclusion, it is really difficult to find a job that suits their experience for recent students. Overall, the approach to higher education requires many reforms.
