Some people believe that the housing shortages in cities cause social problems, and only the government can solve this issue. I completely agree with this view to a large extend because the goverenment has a certain plan and resources to solve this problem as well as authourity who improve housing, and people alone cannot fix them.
One important reason why I hold with this opinion is that housing shortages often lead to problems such as overcrowding or poor living condition. This means that many families may live in the small or unsafe homes, which can have a significant impact on their health or quality of life. For instanse, in many cities, people often share small apartments, which can increase the stress or the risk of disease.
Another reason which supports my view is private citizens or companies actually cannot private housing appartments for everyone. When the damage is very high, only the governments can plan and build the enough homes. As a result, government action is necessary in this situation to offer available houses for all citizens. For example, some countries has successfully reduced this problems by creating public housing projects or offering subsidies to low-income families.
In conclusion, although some people may disagree with this view, I strongly believe that the government should take the responsibility to solve the housing shortage problems, because it has the resources and the power to improve living conditions for everyone.
