When people have health problems, some go and see doctors but others do not. Rather, they stay at home and take time to get better by themselves. It is not always right to believe doctors’ perspectives, but their consults would be helpful than acquiring false information. In my opinion, trying to get well at home than visiting a doctor is a negative development due to the chances of wrong decisions and prevention.
Many people around the world, especially people living in strong healthcare developed countries, tend to stay home to get better. However, this could lead to getting wrong information in our bodies. For example, a student thought he caught a light cold. He just stayed indoors, trying to be distant from people around him. The next day, he had a serious fever and could rarely speak. Though visiting doctors may not help immediately, it could prevent a stronger disease on our immune system. Predicting symptoms could help in some areas, but it has higher percentage of spreading the diseases.
Despite some people try taking medicine at home by their own predictions, it could harm themselves with unexpected side-effects. As an example, a person suffering from fever might take pills at home. However, this patient was already taking medicine because of another disease. Without doctor’s note, the patient could not expect side-effects of two pills taken together. This example can be driven if wrong decision is made by lack of medical knowledge from normal people. It is always better to rely on someone who is expert in medical field, not to harm oneself from false decisions.
In conclusion, there are some positive developments with increased number of patients not seeing doctors, such as rise of normal citizen’s knowledge and technical developments. But, negative developments are overpowering by getting side-effects by self examination and spreading the disease easily.
