Nowadays, a lot of cities face problems owing to their rapid growth, such as accident and traffic jams. What are the reasons for these problems ? How do these issues impact people who travel for work or study?
I strongly believe that the main reason for accidents and traffic jams is the lack of space on the roads. To elaborate, fast growing city attracts a huge number of foreign individuals, who drive cars and can get into an accident as well as the citizens. Since the city is growing, it is not modern and well-developed yet, the government may not have had time to invest in road expansion . For instance, a lot of immigrants may come to the country and take place on the roads. The government has not had invested yet, therefore plenty of accidents and especially traffic jams will occur. As a result, fast growing city frequently struggles with accidents and traffic jams. This is usually because of the insufficient investment in infrastructure and the way that a lot of individuals get attracted by the rapid growing city and move there.
From my perspective , such problems on the road have a significant impact on people who travel for work or study. First of all, these people usually have a schedule at work or school or university where they need to come in time. If roads are congested, then they may get into a traffic jam and be late. Some citizens may even be fired due to delay. For example, people woke up early in the morning and while they are on their way to work a traffic jam can occur. People are running out of time and may be late for work. This is not their fault but the governments’. Subsequently, traffic jams and accidents have a huge impact on people who travel for work or study. These issue can disrupt their daily schedule and cause stress.
To conclude, fast developing city often struggles with problems on the roads. It happens frequently due to the lack of investment and tons of people who move to the city. Obviously, these issues can cause a numerous of problems to the residents. From my perspective, to prevent these troubles the government should consider this question more seriously and invest in roads as much as they invest in other parts of the city.
