Nowadays, a significant number of countries assists other countries by donating food and other aids. The countries that give and receive have certain pros and cons.
Firstly, the countries that receive assistance from other countries tend to become too dependent on the other countries. For example, the Soviet Union has given assistance to Mongolia since approximately 1940s and they gradually started to interfere with Mongolian politics and economics. However, receiving assistance from richer countries give them opportunities to live better, to take care of their citizens more, and second chance to improve their economics.
Secondly, the countries that help developing countries have drawbacks and benefits. Their citizens might agree with that idea and consider that their governments have to focus on their own citizens more. On the other hand, as i mentioned earlier, the countries have power to interfere with other countries’ politics and economics.
In conclusion, the countries that give and receive have both the disadvantages and advantages. For the receiver countries, aids can offer them many opportunities to live better. However, it can make them too dependent on the giver countries. Therefore, the countries that help them can have an advantage to interfering with countries’ economics and politics. Nonetheless, their own citizens may warn that they have to take care of their own citizens more.
