Good morals are part of our daily life activities that enable us to live and relate together in harmony. Morals shape our future relationship and ability to sustain them. Learning is a continuous process over a period of time in designated centers as schools , colleges or universities.
The learning activities in school presents a good opportunity for developing good morals for instance group discussion, group presentations and one on one class interactions with the teacher. The teacher will have his or her time in class to be with students. Most of the time the teacher will guide learners on how to behave with one another while doing classwork. He or she will set rules to guide the group discussion and presentation always. The teacher will be the moderator during these sessions. As a facilitator teacher will preside over this learning sessions his or her role will be to guide where possible. Students will share the available resources through a certain protocol. These protocols are what we call good morals. The teacher will instruct the learners to use kind words though the lesson. The kindly words are greetings before start of presentations, names introductions and familiarizations, use of kind words like please, kindly , thank thank you, sorry and many more.
Over a period of time there has been more interaction in learning institutions through extra-curricular activities like sports, science symposium and inter disciplinary exhibitions. These activities create avenue for experimenting on good morals learnt or acquired. Throughout the occasions the students will exchange ideas on different aspects. Those with good morals will find it easy to interact with one another.
In summary the schools will remain the integral part in moral formation. The expectation of the society relies heavily in schools. It is also notable that for well-behaved individual it is boils down to a collective responsibility of the parties concern. This call s for contribution for all us in shaping the morals of students.
