Admittedly, this development affects negatively on individuals’ lives. Firstly the assistance of robots may lead to the sedentary lifestyle. Robotic machines nowadays have advanced functions to do multiple house chores such as doing the dishes, mopping the floors, this support might make people become passive if they completely rely on robots, resulting in negative risks of physical health. Secondly, regarding workplace, the automation will increase the umemployment rates. Advanced robots can replace tasks that previously performed by human without training and skill conversion programs, so those employees who are likely low-skilled will be replaced with robots. A possibile example is that in food manufacturing processes in big factories, most employees are replaced with advanced robots to ensure the productivity as well as food safety and hygiene. As the result, all those workers are discharged and become unemployed. Therefore, the replacement of workers with robots will significantly increase the umemployment rate.
However, I believe that robots machines are also beneficial for us. Firstly, industrial robots improve the safety of workers in doing hazardous jobs. Thanks to the AI enhancement, robots now are well-equipped with tools and functions that can assist people in doing highly dangerous working conditions such as construction or chemical environment, leading to thethe remarkable reduction in occupational accidents. Furthermore, in terms of homes ,utilizing robots can effectively frees up time for those who have busy schedule. People nowadays are too busy with the large quantity of work and household duties, so there will almost no room for personal interests or career responsibilities. Thus, robots are genuinely effective in this situation, they are programmed to serve our different household purposes. For instance, thanks to creative inventions, there are various household products such as dish washer, vacuum cleaner, or washing machine on the market these day. By using it, people can reduce household pressure and make time for personal interest.
In conclusion, although robotics machines pose a threat to our physical health and increase the unemployment rates, I believe that they are also advantangous for us in certain situations.
