Nowadays, tourism is highly debatable topic amongst all people. Visiting remote places with harsh conditions is now preferable choice for a number of tourists. This essay will argue about positives and negatives of this style of traveling.
On one hand, choosing a country or a specific experience with difficult conditions brings an excitement from unknow for individuals. This might be multiplied, if the place is immensely dangerous. For instance, going to run an ultra-marathon to Alaska in the winter time may be a little bit too much, however many people would absolutely love it, even though it is not necessary a safe option. People who have accomplished these sorts of experiences are saying that it was worthy and they are driven to repeat such a trip in the future.
On the other hand, this style of traveling brings some disadvantages along the way. Although many would be keen to take a part in them, however they do not due to the high price. A recent study done by Washington Post concluded that 90 percent of the “adrenalin tourists ” are incredibly wealthy or at least from higher range mid- class. Therefore, they are not able to afford going for an expensive trip. Even if they have the sufficient amount of money, the still would not do it, because they are parents of young children feel the responsibility for the young ones.
In conclusion, visiting remote and dangerous places is not for everyone, more and more people are doing it these days, despite all the unsafe sides it might cause. In my opinion, it is a personal choice, however safety should always be taken in mind when deciding your holidays.
