Band 5+: Today, the high sales of popular consumer goods reflect the power of advertising and not the real needs of the society in which they are sold.To what extant do you agree or disagree?

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

In today’s world, Advertising shows its power in the sale of famous consumer goods and discloses the real need of the society to which they are sold. Although, the sale of products remarked by the strength of advertising, it’s sale is also determined by the real needs of the society.

Advertising refers to showcasing a product or item to people through radio, tv or any other social networks, which increses the attention of people to buy and use them. Advertsing plays a significant role in the sale of products, eventhough the product doesn’t meet its need or it doesn’t tastes good. A good example is vibro juice, eventhough the product had the taste of an cough syrup, Due to its Advertisement strategy, it draws the attention of many people. Surprisingly ! a recent study had also shown that the sales of vibro juice remained the top compared to the other products.

Products are bought from the retail stores not only based on their application, but it is also determined by the tv ad. Because, people purchase products of their appearance. On the other hand, people also buy things based on their needs. for example, a study proved that a regular mop used for cleaning hoousehold, had the capability to do the daily needs was sold more than the super-mop, eventhough it is equipped with additional features and advertised by the famous telecast company.

To conclude, Advertsing had a great power in the sale of the famous product, I do also agree that people buy products based on their needs also.
