Technology in education has become a controversial topic in recent years. While some people believe that students should be taught using traditional methods such as textbooks, others argue that the use of technology can be more effective. This essay will discuss both views before presenting my own opinion.
On the one hand, supporters of traditional teaching methods often argue that they help students stay more focused. Without digital devices, students are less likely to be distracted by games or social media, which allows them to concentrate better in class. In addition, textbooks usually present information in a clear and well-organized way, making it easier for students to understand the lesson. For instance, literature books often include illustrations or background information about the author, which can enhance students’ understanding of the text.
On the other hand, I believe that using technology in education is more beneficial for several reasons. Firstly, it offers greater convenience, as students can access learning materials anytime and anywhere. This was especially evident during the COVID-19 pandemic, when many students had to study online from home. Secondly, technology provides access to a wide range of resources, such as online courses, virtual tutors, and interactive exercises, which can help students improve their knowledge more effectively.
In conclusion, although traditional methods can help students maintain focus and provide structured information, I believe that technology is a better option due to its convenience and the variety of learning resources it offers.
