Well developed cities are highly affected by traffic congestion. This is started by increasing of vehicles and inadequate of roads width. This essay will discuss of causes and suitable solutions
Firstly, the traffic congestion is a major issue of tire one cities and towns. The problem is created by numerous type of vehicles. Generally, roads are design for the vechile density and add on factor of safety, however, when the vechile numbers overtake the design, it creates traffic owerflow. Secondly, width of roads could be create traffic congestion because every city have not sufficient space for constructing roads. So this is also another reason of overflowing vechiles in cities. For example, Madurai is a city and one of the district of Tamil Nadu, recent studies show that the city traffic become increased and they figured out main causes as increasing of heavy vehicles.
There are some possible and effective solutions have based on my knowledge and technical thought. Built flyovers because it provides sufficient and clean space for vehicle moving without any distractions. Another is increase the road width, this one have merits and demerits, but overall, it gives effective way of reducing traffic flow. Comparing these two solutions have different edges such as, construction of flyovers might be take long time compared to extension of roads. Moreover, extension of roads might be possible of affecting residential and commercial settlements. For instance, already disscus that previous example, the government tooks this solutions for that problem. However, they avoid to demolishing of settlements instead of to provideed bridges, which of the had more settlements.
In conclusion, modern cities facing traffic congestion of increasing vehicle numbers and not sufficient space for vehicle to drive in a city traffic. These problems have solutions that are to enlarge the roads tracks and to construct bridges.
