People have different views as to whether government should spend money on providing computer training for people aged 65 or over or allocate these funds to other areas. While spending much money on computer training for older people has some benefits, I firmly believe that investing money in other pressing issues would be beneficial for both residents and the government.
One of the main reasons why the government should spendmoney on various pressing issues is that if the government spends a huge amount of money on solving unasolved problems, they can enhance the livelihood of all people. For example, the development of vaccines for COVID-19 saved milllions of lives, which helped humankind to overcome the pandemic. As a result, mitigating different problems can enable people to live more comfortably.
Another reason why governments should spend money in addressing other pressing problems like quality of education, healthcare, and road maintenance is that if these problems are not solved right now, they can exacerbate other huge problem in the future. If the governments solve these problems by funding, residents can get proper treatments from hospitals or they can study more efficiently, which improves the life expectancy of individuals and more experts in different fields. As a result, after several years of funding in addressing problems, the country will also benefit from visiting tourists, because tourists also want to visit developed countries, and international students might come to study in this country’s universities, thereby the government can recoup the money it spent in a few years.
In conclusion, although spending money on computer training for older people has benefits, I believe that governments should prioritize solving pressing issues, such as education and healthcare to ensure long-terms societal development.
