Schools teach some skills related to financial knowledge, such as math for calculation and social skills for helping to spend money effectively. However, some students do not use this knowledge well. As a result, they want to add more subjects related to finance in their learning schedule, to help them in financial management. I do not agree with these ideas because I think the learners need more time to study their main skills, and learning too much about money can harm their mental health.
First, applying many hours to the financial course would not help students to have more income. Moreover, they would only have fewer hours to acquire the main knowledge needed to make money effectively. People who lack knowledge easily give up on their jobs or skills. In the worst scenario, they will earn extra profits from gambling or illegal work. In addition, pupils will have less time to improve their morality and communication. These skills are necessary for them to get along with people skillfully. If they lack these skills, they will lose the confidence to cooperate with individuals and be isolated from the community.
Second, engaging in numerous financial courses can lead students to bad mental health or money obsession. Therefore, they will spend more time earning money, which causes problems for their physical and brain health. Moreover, they will stay away from their family and society, making them develop the habit of living alone. This problem has a bad impact on many countries, and their leaders worry about the human resources for developing their country. Additionally, money obsession will persuade them to use illegal methods to get more cash. For this reason, they easily fall into financial fraud.
