With the quality of education in public schools becoming a major problem, some individuals think that private schools have lots of advantages, while others think they have many drawbacks for the community. However, I believe that privately-funded schools have several advantages, such as better studying system, and students can have lots of opportunities, such as using modern facilities, like laboratories, computers and other kinds of modern facilities.
Advocates of the view that private schools offer more opportunities contend that fee-paying schools have better education systems compared to public ones. This is due to the fact privately-funded schools always require education-fee from students, and this can help private school hire high-qualified teachers and reduce huge number of students in one class, and teachers can give individual attention for students. A good example of this is that a private school can employ professional teachers and keep their classes relatively small. Therefore, students are always in control of their teachers, and can get effective knowledge.
Another advantage is that students studying in private schools can have opportunities to use modern facilities. This is because in private schools, they have cutting-edge equipment and this can offer teachers make their lessons more effective. For instance, in public school, most students suffer from a lack of equipment related to their subjects, especially in chemistry and biology, but in privately-funded schools can give these kinds of facilities, such as laboratories, smartboards, and computers. Therefore, students do not only gain effective knowledge, but also they can test what they have learned in laboratories and IT rooms, and this can help students to learn their subjects solidly by the help of professional teachers, and modern equipment.
To conclude, privately-funded schools can have some drawbacks, such as high costs or opposite system of education, however, I believe they have several advantages like better education system, professional teacher and individual attention, and this can lead students to achieve higher results.
