These days, many people use purchased things in a least amount of time due to consumer culture and immediately treat them as a garbage, while its implications have been one of the biggest factors for environment pollution. I believe that this essay will discuss the main causes of this trend and its negative consequences.
Nowadays, major of individuals support consumer culture. Because of mass production, people buy affordable clothes, furniture, cosmetics and so on. Moreover, cheap products attract more consumers, while many people like to buy things that will not hit their wallet. Another example related to quality. Factors produce cheap products because they want to save more money. It affects in quality as well. Not only consumers did want to try all low-quality things whereas their expectations are being high placed. As a result, the product gets drained in a shorten time and people have to throw them. Furthermore, social media also significantly contributes to this culture. In today’s world, when technology develops very fast with utterly big changes in trends, people tend to repurchase some type of products every month.
On the other hand, people do not realize how this problem dangerous is. When they throw things a lot of time, it creates a garbage. All garbage will not recycle as it supposed to be, because in some countries this system has not developed yet. Consequently, it pollutes air, water, negatively impacts to nature creatures and to environment overall. The quality of nature will decrease dramatically and make our lives worse that we could ever expected. Our health definitely gets sick, particularly our breathing system. Individuals with rare illnesses such as asthma will struggle more.
To sum up, individuals being encouraged to replace their products without a substantial factor, while it impacts to environment in a negatively way. I hope in the future this problem will be controlled by the government, also by local communities and people will find other options to prevent this problem.
