Have you ever thought about studying abroad? A lot of people from my school leave our country to get an education in foreign university. It’s reasonable, because studying abroad has a great number of advantages.
First, one of the most important advantages is quality of knowledge. Some countries don’t want to invest in development of education, so their citizens are simply forced to study abroad for their future. The most popular places to study in is Europe and USA. These countries offer a wide choice of majors, flexible study system and professors who are interested in giving better knowledge to their students. Second, studying abroad makes you more responsible and independent. Your parents are not there, so you have to take responsibility for your future and rely on yourself. Third, you are able to meet different people from every part of planet. You broaden your horizons by getting acquainted with other cultures. And traveling is also one of the best parts of studying abroad. It’s so interesting to explore new places in unknown country.
On the other hand, it has disadvantages too. You will definitely get homesick at the beginning of your “new life”. You will miss your parents, siblings, friends and place you were raised in. It’s always complicated to get used to being away from home, and many students can’t handle it. Most of them return after getting a degree, but sometimes they give up on studying and drop out from university. They come back and waste several years of their life.
So if you want to get an education abroad, you must be ready for disadvantages too.
