It is widely believed that working at home is a heated debate. While some people say that working at home has many advantages, others say it is more pain than gain. Personally, I understand two opposite views. I am both fascinated by virtual working and apprehensive about possible negative effects
On the one hand, telecommuting, with no doubt, has many necessary positive effects. Firstly, working at home helps us to save time. For example, my company has the policy of working at home on Fridays and Saturdays. On that days, I don’t need to spent my time on stuck in a traffic jam which really waste of my time. Secondly, telecommuting is really convenient. Because of telecommuting, the work can be addressed anywhere and anytime. Generally, working at home is convenient and helps people save their time.
On the other hand, I share the concern of people believing that working at home has some certain disadvantages. The main serious disadvantage is technology problems. For example, I used to cancel many vital meetings because of the poor internet connection that it why I couldn’t reach my deadline on time. The additional disadvantage of working at home would be the inattentive to the work. Because the environment at home doesn’t create a professional environment like in office, people usually inattentively to their work.
In conclusion, working at home is no doubt good for the worker’s lives,
