Recent years have seen an increase in the number of people that want to study online. However, online studying has its benefits and detriments. This essay will discuss both positive and negative aspects of this trend.
On the one hand, there is no doubt that online studying allows you to get best courses and knowledge from all over the world. Moreover, in many courses you can learn materials at the comfortable time from anywhere in the world. For example, last summer my friend needed to deepen his marketing knowledge. Using the social media and different websites he was able to find very interesting courses and choose the best one. The point is that the next week he went to the summer trip with his family. Fortunately, his course was online and he could watch all videos and successfully complete it with a comfortable speed. Therefore, online studying is very convenient way to learn new materials you needed from anywhere you want.
On the other hand, studying online requires a high level of self-discipline and motivation. Often online programs do not provide special atmosphere of studying because you teaching alone and nobody control you. Resent searches has shown that some people with lack of self-discipline can lose interest and motivation to online courses or even start cheating during completing their studying. Clearly, process of online studying poses a real downside and can be absolutely unhelpful for some people.
In conclusion, online studying has a number of benefits allowing people to learn anywhere they want to. However, despite the obvious positive effects, it is just not possible for people with a lack of self-discipline.
