Nowadays, men tend to stay at home and look after their children while their wives are working. I suppose this is the result of men’s unemployment. Some people think that this is a positive development since it might cause several good effects, such as a good child’s upbringing. However, I find this a negative development, as it causes a number of problems.
The reason why men sit at home is that there are very few workplaces for them, and it is happening because of the increase in males. Consequently, they are becoming unable to provide for their families entirely. However, women have many job opportunities because of the demend on women being forced to work anywhere, like in textiles or in other lucrative jobs.
On the one hand, males sitting at home might have some positive effects on children’s upbringing. Since fathers feel the responsibility of controlling their children perfectly and managing other housework, In addition, most of them have more experience than their wives. What I mean by this is that they can also be good advisers and teachers for children and may teach them the necessary qualities in life.
Having said that, this development seems weird and negative because, if this phenomenon goes commonly among men, it will cause gender inequality and women’s higher roles in family. It means men will not be able to manage their families because they are not providing them with money. The second drawback of this is that,unless a plethora of men do not work in workplaces, women will have to work, and they might feel stressed because of difficulties.
In conclusion, some of the factors that I mentioned are causing males to sit in the house without working. Although there are some positive aspects of this, it might cause several issues, as I examined in the third body paragraph.
