In the modern world, there is no denying that skilled professionals, such as doctors and engineers are in high demand across many countries now. Some people believe that professionals should work in country or region where they received their training, while others argue that they should have the freedom to choose where to work. In my essay, I would talk and express my opinions about both perspectives.
Those who support that professionals should work in country where they received their training have some points to justify their view. First, governments on many countries often invest significant funding in training and education. To ilustrate, the funding is used to support universities, scholarships, and professional development programs. If the skilled professionals leave the country they trained in, it may end in shortage of skilled workers and reduce return for the government. Furthermore, certain services such as healthcare may suffer greatly if there are not enough skilled doctors.
Those who disagree that they should stay have some fair points that shouldn’t be overlooked. One of the major reason is they should have the choice to choose their careers and work locations. To clarify, working abroad usually offer higher salaries, better life quality, and vital work experience. Example: doctors who had just returned from working other countries could bring back improved skills and experience, which benefit the homecountry in long-term. Moreover, restricting movement could limit development.
In my opinion, I believe that requiring professionals work in their homecountry would protect national services and maintain essential services, while allowing freedom for personal growth and global opportunities. I come to believe that people should have the freedom to work abroad
