In recent years, a lot of tasks that were once humans ‘ responsibilty are now given to robots. The primary reason can be easily observed, as robots are much more efficient than us and they can perform many tasks at once. Many argue whether this is something positive or negative, but I believe that these things can do more harm than good to humanity.
In our fast-paced world, speed is an important factor and that is what distinguish these mechanics from us. They are fast, smart and they do not get tired. It is impossible for us to compete with robots because they are specifically designed to handle even the toughest job. Furthermore, they can work double the amount of hours that the average person do. If you work 40 hours a week, these things can work 80 hours a week. That is why companies and even factories are now supplanting their workers with Al machines, to save more money and to boost their production
But are these machines lead by computers that good? Everything has pros and cons. With robots replacing us, plenty of jobs are going to disappear. Cashier and construction workers are among the top candidates to vanish, and that makes our wonder what these people are going to do? Or how are they going to make ends meet? It is already hard to get a job nowadays and with the spread of robotic workers, things are only going to get harder. But beside that, robots cost an arm and leg, they need regular maintenance and sometimes they may need new parts like a new battery or a new system in case the they have failed. So maybe they are not fully capable of taking our jobs, at least not yet.
In conclusion, Technology is a great thing as it always amazes us with these new inventions. But sometimes we need to hold back as not everything we make or invent can be in our favour and our wishes and creations can hurt us more than benefitting us.
