In increasingly globalized world, improvements in healthcare have played an important role in people’s lives. As a result, people are living longer, leading to a growing elderly population. While this trend may create several challenges for society, I believe that governments can manage these issues by implementing effective policies. This essay will discuss both aspects and the reasons supporting my opinion will be discussed in the following paragraphs.
On the one hand, a growing elderly population can put pressure on healthcare systems and public finances. Older people often require more medical treatments and regular check-ups. As a result, governments may need to spend more money on healthcare services and pension schemes, which can place burden on the economy. In addition, a larger elderly population may reduce the size of the workforce because many people retire from their jobs. Consequently, fewer workers may be available to support the economy and contribute taxes, creating additional financial pressure on governments.
On the other hand, there are several ways to manage this situation. To begin with, governments should create some effective policies, such as organizing some health awareness programs and also build some temples, gardens and natural places, so elderly go there and spend time with their aged people. Moreover, many elderly people supporting social works and also support their family works. For example, nowadays, many older people spend their most of time on communities works such as clean-up, supporting poor families, and take care of their society, which create societies more safe and clean help of orderly people
In conclusion, although rising number of elderly people may create economic and healthcare challenges, I believe that society can successfully cope with this issue. By improving healthcare services, supporting family daily routines and community works, this way to society can easily manage older people population. band
