There is a significant increase in the number of elderly population worldwide due to enhancement in health care, as a result, society has to deal with this elevation in numbers of elderly. I think that society has the ability to manage this issue as I will explain in this essay.
Development in health is combined with development in other aspects so the society able to manage more elderlies properly. Older population is increase due to the improvement in health, but at the same time there is improvement in economy, services, food, entertainment and so on, which enhances the quality of life of older people without making pressure on society. For example, although the number of people aged 65 and older increased by 20 percent in my country in the last decade, they have good health and high quality life, in addition, governmental report showed that the majority of them are self-cared.
The best way to manage this significant elevation in elderly is by increase the governmental projects targeted this population. Providing suitable job opportunities for elderly to support themselves, making all required services available and affordable and making the nursing homes for the elderly free. An instance for that, China where the elderly numbers exceed other age groups but with the all undertaken measures the society cope properly and successfully.
In conclusion, the number of elderlies is significantly increased due to improvement in health care, but I believe that society is able to manage this because of the improvement in other aspects and the provided services.
