Every year, people spend about 38 billion barrels of oil and gas, with so much usage of oil and gas, the world’s resources will run out in 40-50 years. So i think, people should use undiscovered areas to have access to more resources but, also they should use less amount of oil and gas.
Firstly, using undiscovered areas to get more oil and gas can help to stabilize the economy and make global demand to decrease, because of more oil and gas. If countries like the USA , Russia, etc., have access to more oil and gas, technology will be better and economy will increase. However, new areas can contain weak ecosystems and one small mistake can lead to destroying ecosystems like oil leaks . Oil leaks or accidents in these sensitive environments can have long impacts on marine life and on fishing or tourism For example: government found undiscovered area near the sea, and one small mistake may cause oil to leak into the sea.
Secondly, people should also try to use less oil and gas. If we use too much, we will run out faster and cause more pollution. Instead, we can use clean energy like wind, solar, or hydro power. These types of energy are better for the planet and don’t run out. Also, using electric cars can help people use less oil.
In conclusion, people need to find new oil and gas for now, but when we will run out of oil and gas we should use alternative energy like wind, solat or hydro energy.
