Thanks to human civilization, it has common increasingly the development of information technology by leaps and bounds in contemporary society. As a result, a massive of companies in the world take advantage of automation to replace workforce labor in industries. From my perspective, the government of each country should take responsibility for preventing unemployment for citizens from the threat of automation explosion.
To begin with, one of the biggest reasons why the government should ensure employment for people is that unemployment leads to a lot of tremendous social problems in many countries nowadays. When the growth of AI as well as automation gradually replaces the work of citizens, people will fall into unemployment and they unable to earn income to cover their lives expenses. For this reason, some people will do anything to earn money at any cost even if, they steal money or do bad things and this situation will cause the rise of crime and other problems in society.
Therefore, it is necessary for government to take responsibility to ensure jobs for their citizens. One of the optimal methods is that the government could participate in some steps in the company’s operating procedures in order to control using of automatic devices rate and ensure adequate jobs for employees. For instance, the government can take control of the database of automatic devices and set a limitation on amount devices that a company could use in manufacturing so that they can ensure employment for people.
In conclusion, the labor workforce in modern days is gradually being replaced by AI or automation has sparked controversy in many contexts. People should have a long-term mindset to think about the disadvantages of automation explosion in the future and make informed decisions.
