While many highlight the benefits that AI brings to individuals and society, others emphasize the importance of social interaction in learning for developing critical thinking and essential skills. This essay will discuss both perspectives on this issue before presenting my opinion and a balanced conclusion, along with relevant examples.

On the one hand, a major argument in favour of AI-assisted learning is its potential to save time and money. For example, students can learn about their chosen topics from home, negating the need to attend a university campus. As a result, students can save money, which can be allocated to other pursuits, and time, which can be used for exam preparation. This demonstrates how AI-supported study can contribute to increased productivity and improved learning outcomes. Furthermore, another advantage is that students can focus on specific topics that genuinely interest them, which can often have a broader impact and improve society. In addition, proponents argue that these benefits are not only immediate but also have long-term implications, ensuring sustainability and development for future generations.

On the other hand, critics claim that social interaction is crucial for developing critical thinking skills, which often results in improved communication abilities. For instance, in China, many schools and universities help students to develop better communication skills, which helps them secure more job opportunities because many companies prioritize the communication proficiency of their employees. Moreover, they point out that students can gain valuable social experience by interacting face-to-face with others, often resulting in the ability to run their own businesses effectively.

In conclusion, although both viewpoints offer several benefits, I personally believe that the advantages of social interaction and the development of crucial life skills are more compelling, because broader societal improvement and long-term sustainability are ultimately more important.
