As there is a growth in personal vehicles, there is also a rise in the level of pollution in many regions. The increase in pollution may cause health problems, so use of private vehicles should be reduced. We can use public transport, and the government should make people aware about the effect of pollution.

One way to tackle the problem is improving the public transport facilities. If the government improves the public transport facilities, it would also generate revenue for the state and also there will be a rise in government jobs. For example, in Hyderabad, before the metro started, a lot of people would use private vehicles to reach their destination on time. Even if there was a bus facility, they would use private transport because they could not reach on time for their work. After the construction of the metro, most of the people started to use the metro as they would reach on time to their destination. It also increased the revenue for the government and it runs on electric power, so it is eco-friendly and would minimize the air pollution caused by cars and bikes.

However, not only government but the private organization should also encourage their employees to use common transport instead of private transport. They should provide a common bus facility to their employees to reach the office. For an illustration, many organizations in major cities of India would provide common bus facility to their employees by charging minimal amount of money. It would also increase the potential of the employees as they would not get tired by driving and it would also generate extra revenue for the company. Additionally, the individuals should also motivate themselves to use public transport, so that the pollution can be reduced.

In conclusion, the pollution in many cities can be reduced by avoiding private transport and using public transport. The government and private companies should increase the facilities of common transportation as it would also generate revenue and also reduce pollution.
