International tourism is both a blessing and a curse. There is no doubt that it can cause sever issues; however, i believe that the advantages it provides outweigh the disadvantages.
International tourism is one of the many factors that help with not only a specific countries economy, but also the economy of the world. It is an important part of how the world is run and can not simply be stopped.
Some people may disagree. Claiming that the threat that international tourism exposes to the environment and on its local inhabitants is too big to turn a blind eye towards it. While this statement is partially true, many countries depend on international tourism to be able to continue existing. Hawaii is a perfect example of this. Many of its locals protest against tourism telling people to leave the island alone as the excessive tourism is causing tax prices to increase and the local environment such as the beautiful coral reefs and forests too degrade as well as excessive killing of animal life. But what many of these civilians do not understand is that Hawaii greatly depends on its tourism rates. Without tourists Hawaii would not have the financial means to keep going.
In conclusion, while i do agree that the environment is something sacred and that it should be protected I believe there are other ways to help it without ending international tourism. The effects of international tourism on island/ small countries and the world in general is too great to be able to completely stop it.
