It is widely believed that computers play an important role in people’s daily lives. Besides this, some say that the creation of computers is the most fundamental invention over the centuries, and I completely disagree with this view because there are other existing inventions that are far more crucial than such a computer.
Granted, one might argue that using computers helps people gain more knowledge about many different aspects of their lives. This is predicated on the assumption that with the presence of computers, everyone can have the ability to research, learn, and socialise by surfing the Net, regardless of their destinations, ages, and genders. According to this theory, people could seize the convenience of computers to not only exchange information easier, but also have the opportunity to create more relationships and even build their creativity through such interactions. Without this invention, people would not yield those benefits and would meet many barriers when commuting to each other.
However, this line of reasoning is not sound because there are more essential inventions that are still existing and developing in our day-to-day lives. One of the prime inventions is the vaccine. It is obvious that health or well-being is undoubtedly the most important asset to each person, and the appearance of many types of vaccinations that exist in parallel with a human’s life still plays a role in protecting our health until now. For example, during the COVID-19 pandemic, there is no denying that using computers would not make people safer and recover from these diseases. With the creation and mass production of vaccines, which are used to improve our immunity system, people in many parts of the world are saved, and the rate of death has also decreased significantly.
In conclusion, admittedly, the invention of computers is a remarkable event for humanity, but it is not the most important one because there are many other creations, namely vaccines, that are even more necessary for people in real life.
