Most people are convinced that our youth is the most joyful period of the majority. On the other hand, there is a group of people that think otherwise and that adulthood brings with it more happiness though there are more obligations and responsibilities.
In our teenage years, we are young, full of energy and new ideas. The whole life is in front of us. Moreover, youth is the time when lots of people meet their first love, get to know new acquaintances, and make long-term friends. It is truly a great period in every person’s life, though we are not able to control our life absolutely in every aspect of it.
We do not choose who our parents are or in which environment and culture we are born so not every person experiences all the pleasantries of life and their physical body offers them. Some people are born into poor families and they may feel differently in some teenage groups where other coevals can afford more entertainment. Also, a lot of teenagers feel pressure and even experience abuse from their parents from early childhood so for such people their youth years are not the best for sure.
That’s why there some people believe that more happiness comes with maturing and separation from parents. Adult life indeed becomes more challenging as we have to handle responsibilities such as taxes and work issues but despite that, we get more opportunities and the ability to define who we are and what our life is like. We decide whether we want to live in the place we live in or not, we no longer depend on our parents. When we are mature and earn money, we can spend our earnings on travel and not only see the world by ourselves but also show it to our parents and future children.
In my view, embracing maturity brings greater joy than our younger years. As we reach our late 20s or 30s, we bring a wealth of life experience, connections, and a sense of control over our lives. On the other hand, each person is different so everyone’s the most happy years are in diverse year groups. Someone can be very satisfied in their 50s and someone may had experienced in youth.
