SOME ARGUED THAT COLLEGE PROGRAMS SHOULD BE ALLOWED FOR EVERY PEOPLE TO ADMISS NO MATTER THEIR LEVEL OF ACEDEMIC ABLILITY. I COMPLETELY DISAGREE WITH THIS OPINION, AS I BELIEVE QUALIFIED ACADEMIC GRADUATES AND WORKERS ARE EQUALLY IMPORTANT AND THIER NUMBER SHOULD BE BALANCED.
FIRSTLY, LACKING OF COMPETENT WORKERS WILL BE CAUSED IN THE SOCIETY WHEN ALL PEOPLE HAVE ACADEMIC STUDY IN UNIVERSITIES YIELDS. THERE IS ONE PROCESS CALLED ‘FROM THEORY TO PRACTICE’ WHICH VARIOUS RESEARCHERS PERFORM THORETICAL RESULTS WHEREAS WORKERS PERFORM PRACTICAL FIELD-WORKS TO PUT AN IDEA INTO THE REALITY. THEREFORE, A LACK OF WORKERS WOULD HINDER THE PROCESS AND BRINGING IDEAS TO PRSTICAL USE WOULD BE HARDLY IMPOSSIBLE. FOR EXMAPLE, THE INVENTION OF WEAVING MACHINE IN THE 19TH CENTURY CHANGED THE WHOLE PERIOD BY THE MILL OWNERS AND WORKERS. MANY THOUSAND WORKERS WITH LESS KNOWLEDGE STARTED TO WORK IN THE FACTORY AND PRODUCE LARGE QUANTITIES BY MACHINES AND RADICALLY CHANGED THE TRADITIONAL WORK SYSTEM AND THE SOCIETY TO ENTER THE INDUSTRIAL REVOULUTION. THIS IS TO SAY, WITHOUT THE WORKERS, THINGS WOULD CHANGE SLOWLY. AS SCIENTISTS AND BUSINESSMEN WORK WITH THEORY AND KNOWLEDGE AND CANNOT RUN THE FACTORY BY THEIR OWNS, TOO MANY OF THEM AND FEW WORKERS WOULD MAKE THE SOCIETY IMPOSSIBLE TO FUNCTION.
SECONDLY, I BELIEVE IT IS BENEFICIAL TO LET RIGHT PEOPLE ON THEIR OWN ROLE. THE CONCEPT THAT LINKS BETWEEN SUCCESS AND COLLEGE DIPLOMA BECAME OBSOLETE. MOST OF THE KOREAN STARS CAN BE SERVED AS EXAMPLES FOR YOUNGSERS WITHOUT COLLEGE DIPLOMA. MOREOVER, COLLEGE STUDENTS ALL HAVE UNDERGO RIGOROUS ACADEMIC TRAININGS NOWADAYS. TAKING THE RISK TO HAVE TRAININGS WHICH PEOPLE ARE NOT GOOD AT CANNOT BE SEEN AS A BETTER OPTION WHILE THEY CAN FIND THEIR HANDS-ON SKILLS AND BECOME PROFICIENCY IN A PARTICULAR FIELD THROUGH INTEGRATING VOCATIONAL TRAINING. THIS WOULD PROVIDE STUDENTS AN OCCUPATION ORIENTATION.
IN SUMMARY, I BELIEVE IT IS NOT ESSENTIAL TO SEND ALL PEOPLE STUDYING COLLEGE PROGRAM. THE BALANCE OF BOTH POSITIONS WOULD EFFECTIVELY MAINTAIN THE SOCIETY’S FUNCTION.
