I completely agree that the average standard of health of the future generation will comparatively be lower than that of the present generation. I have a handful of reasons to say so. The primitive factors include food habits and lifestyle. I state that these two will create a major impact on the health of the upcoming population because I have witnessed a few of those effects within my family.
When we point out food as a factor, it obviously comes down to the habit eating processed food. I could clearly see the differences between the food that my brother has in his everyday life and the food that my mother has. Their food habits may not be entirely different, but there are some significant differences. For an instance, say my mother has home-cooked pulses in the evening while my brother go out to have fast food for snacks. And from this, we could easily guess the trends of the generation that follows.
Lifestyle is nothing but the everyday routine or habits that we follow. We exist in a sleep-deprived population due to the increased influence of technology such as mobile phones and internet. The changes in the daily cycle of man has a greater impact on his health leading to various mental health issues such as anxiety, stress and hormonal imbalances. We are also polluting the earth a little more everyday by bringing in more pollutants in our daily life thereby increasing the individual carbon footprint value.
The above-mentioned factors have already started affecting the present generation which gives us a clear sign of how the average standard of health of the future generation will gradually reduce.
