In contemporary society, there is a debate between people about theatres and cinemas. While some people consider that theatres and cinemas are no longer important, as all the entertainment they want is accessible online, others argue that theatres and cinemas are still important both economically and culturally. I strongly believe that theatres have different place and it cannot be same as in real life, where you feel the atmosphere.
On the one hand, technology, especially digital devices revolutionized the way we live and made people’s lives easier. We can watch all the entertainment we want, because it is available online, which is effortless and convenient for some people. For instance, those who are busy, less communicative, and those who prefer to watch movies alone or only with close people can watch at home, where they feel comfortable and without spending their energy on people.
On the other hand, theatres and cinemas are still crucial both economically and culturally. Moreover, theatres and cinemas lead people to cultural development and also play an important role in the economy too. For me personally, theatre has an ineffable place in my heart and it definitely cannot feel same online. You should probably even for once in your life go to the theatre and see how it feels, the actors’ professional plays, atmosphere and meet people who find it fascinating.
In conclusion, although we can afford almost every type of entertainment online, I believe that in real life it plays a different and indescribable role. In addition, I recommend all of us to visit even for a theatre and decide that this way is better than online.
