Many people think that violence on television and in computer games is harmful for society. Others believe that it does not really affect people’s behavior. In my opinion, violence in media can have a negative effect, especially on young people, but it is not the only reason for bad behavior.
On the one hand, violent films and games can influence children and teenagers. When they watch or play such content very often, they may start to think that aggression is normal. For example, some teenagers may copy what they see on the screen and behave more aggressively in real life. Also, they can become less sensitive to violence and not understand how serious it is.
On the other hand, many people watch violent movies or play games but do not become aggressive. This is because behavior depends on many factors, such as family, education, and personal character. If a person grows up in a good environment and understands the difference between fiction and reality, media violence will not have a strong influence on them.
In addition, computer games can even have positive sides. Some games help people relax, improve reaction, and develop thinking skills. So, it is not correct to say that all games are bad.In conclusion, I believe that violence in television and games can affect people, especially young ones, but it is not the main cause of aggressive behavior. Parents and teachers should control what children watch and play, and help them understand what is right and wrong.
