The peer group pressure is the widespread process that many teenagers are easily influenced by their peers. While there are some advantages of peer group, I believe that the drawbacks are far more significant.
To begin with advantages, peer influance can affect the behaviour of teenagers in a good way or youngsters might be motivated from other individuals’ successes. For example, successful young people encourge others with talking about their effective daily work routine and can give some tips for achieving success. Moreover, there must be informative and motivational shows shown on Tv or social media platforms for teaching children about good behaviors and habits at an early age.
On the other side, this process can lead to a lack of self-esteem and huge problems among the young people. Contrast to leading an example on a good way, teenagers can also be influenced from others in a dangerous way such as substance abuses. They can start smoking, drinking alchocol or using drug. This mostly happens due to their enviroment, friends, dangerous advertisements on social media, or other factors. Moreover, some teenagers try to fit their friend groups. For example, if someone have a murder or lier friend, this friend can easly stimulate for doing same thing. Therefore, sometimes peer groups create risky situations for all teenagers.
To conclude, if young people do not distinguish the advantage or disadvantage behaviours of their pees, it can create some hazardous results for them. They need to understand the reality and must make decisions accordingly. In this situation, their family and teachers also play a crucial role for teaching them all about this.
