Band 5+: Your next-door neighbour owns a small dog that barks throughout the day and the night. Write a letter to your neighbour requesting that something be done about the dog. Include in your letter: - Your reason for writing - What you would like to happen - A nice, respectful style

Dear Miss. Smith,

I am writing to express my deep concern about a persisting issue in our neighbourhood.

Recently, there is an ongoing problem that has come to my attention: a continuous barking. I have been informed that you received a puppy dog and I suppose that this noise comes from your house.

This constant barking is driving me crazy and it is increasing my stress level day after day. Furthermore, due to the fact that I mostly work from home, I am no longer able to take business calls without someone asking me what the background noise is.

I am really sorry to bother you a second time but when I tried to knock at your door few days ago nobody was in there, obviously except for the dog.

I kindly request that the necessary measures be taken to address this issue promptly because this situation is becoming unbearable for the entire neighbourhood. I trust that you will address this matter as soon as possible.

I look forward to a swift resolution.

Thank you,

Valentina

Some people argue that publishing detailed information about crimes on news has negative influences and suggest that it should be restricted. It is often argued that full-time university students who spend a lot of time studying should participate in other activities too.
