Dear University Administration,
I would like to express my gratitude for initiating the survey aimed at gauging students’ perspectives on permissible work hours.
In this regard, I firmly advocate the first option, which suggests allowing students to engage in a single job for fewer than 15 hours each week, as opposed to working at multiple locations for a cumulative total exceeding 20 hours.
Undoubtedly, the pursuit of higher education holds immense value and serves as a pivotal determinant of an individual’s future prospects. It follows that part-time employment can help students fulfill their basic needs and alleviate the pressures of financial constraints.
It is important to acknowledge that juggling employment across multiple establishments is not only time-consuming but also physically and mentally taxing. The demands of modern student life, coupled with the responsibilities of work, can be undeniably burdensome. Conversely, limiting work to less than 15 hours per week would undoubtedly afford learners the opportunity to manage their finances while still ensuring they have ample time to complete their academic obligations.
On a broader scale, it is evident that the prospect of undertaking employment at various venues does not offer sustainable advantages, neither in the present nor in the long term. Such an approach invariably necessitates a sacrifice of time and energy, often leading to heightened stress levels and a compromised state of well-being.
Therefore, I wholeheartedly support the idea of permitting students to engage in a single job, with the primary aim of safeguarding their health and prioritizing their academic pursuits. It is important to note, however, that this is a matter subject to individual preferences and circumstances.
I extend my sincere appreciation for considering my perspectives on this matter.
Yours sincerely,
Divya
