The bar chart delineates the waste collection, classified into four categories, by an unspecified recycling center between 2011 and 2015.
Overall, it can be seen that the amount of waste collected enjoyed upswings regardless of categories. Also, paper was the most common waste recycled for most of the surveyed period, whilst the reverse trend was true for garden waste.
In 2011, paper topped the list of recycled waste with 57 tonnes, much higher than the amount of glass, tins and garden waste at 48, 35 and 32 tonnes respectively. In the following years, the figure for paper saw a steady decline to reach a low of 40 tonnes in 2013 before gathering pace to recover in 2015 with 70 tonnes.
The amount of glass and tins recycled followed similar patterns, fluctuating in an upward trend with two dips in 2012 and 2014, finishing at 52 and 39 tonnes in turn at the end of the period. The same picture is evident for garden waste as the figure experienced a precipitous drop in 2012, halving to 15 tonnes, the lowest amount ever recorded during the 5-year period. It thereafter fluctuated and jumped back to 35 tonnes in 2015
