The bar graph represents average expenditure figures of families in a household according to their salaries.
Overall, every income category spent most their salaries on housing followed by transportation and food at home while they expended the lowest amount of money on eating.
Average households expended the majority of their income in housing which is nearly 30% followed by transportation in which households with low incomes spent exactly 15% and approximately 20% for medium- and high-income families. Food at home is another category where high, medium and low-income families expend 5 to 15 % of their income.
However, less than 5% of the salary is spent by each category of people on eating out. 15 to twenty percent of high-income households save their income which is 10 % or less for medium and low income family. For utilities, low income households spend between 10% and 15% while families with medium and high salary invest 5% to 10 %. For education and entertainment high income families spend a little more than other categories, between 5% and 10%. For clothing and health all categories invest 5 to 10% of their income.
