Overall, what is striking about the graph is that rock music was preffer by all age groupc. The other amazing point is that pop music was the most popular for under-22s people . in contrast, it was less popular for people aged 32 to 57.
We can see in the bar chart that in the 16-22 age group, pop music sold around 5 million albumes. While rock music was the second most popular type with sales at 3,8 million. In contrast, Jazz and Classical music attracted little interest from younger people with only about 2 million sales. As age increases, sales of rock, jazz and classical music increased slightly between 0,3 and nearly 1 million with people in 23-31 years old group while sales of pop decreased significantly to around 4.5 million.
For the middle-aged groups from 32 to 57, rock remained consistently popular with sales between 3 and 3.7 million. Pop music dropped significantly to under 2 million in the 32 to 57 group. Meanwhile, classical and jazz music began to rise to nearly 3 million. For over-58s people, classical music was the highest sales at 4.5 million while the other three genres had nearly equal sales, at around 3 million .
