Nowadays, citizens are living in a globalized society where modern science has become an inevitable trend. There is still an arguement that ” Technology is only a temporary tool and arts are societal values which will exist forever with time “. Because modern life is just the tip of the iceberg, arts are our life, which is an endless source of inspiration for humanity.
On the other hand, although arts and science are contrary, they are not competitive but complementary to each other, and serve different people for various purposes. Clearly, arts vary in different societies, and science can be applied to the whole world. For arts, when travelling to other countries, each nation carries in itself traditionas about art also these differences in the growing process. Moreover, this is evident from musicians, painters, and writers. For science, the industrial Revolution 4.0 period of the 1760s later, the invention of steam engine and the building of the plane, which was developed and applied to most areas in the world. For example, in my country, Viet Nam, almost everyone is know for the traditional custume is Ao Dai, and signature dishes are Banh Mi or Pho. Especially, the people there are so friendly and unified, an obvious thing that anyone cannot infringe. In contrast, with one application to entertain such as TikTok, Facebook ,and so on, which were used by more than one milion people worldwide but it is not possessive.
Futhermore, arts are considered “spiritual foods” which can satisfy people’s emotional needs and enrich cultural life. According to statistics, psychology reseachers claim that “arts may reduce the risk of depression for teenage years caused by mobile phones”. By the way, joining in extracurricular activities in order to exercise their health also mingles with life and nature. Similar to CEO Elon Musk, his habit after stressful working hours is to play golf with his friends and also enjoy art paintings in international exhibitions. Better yet, for countries which are crazy for the arts like Korea, Holland, and Italy. So, the life’s works such as Kpop, Van Gogh, and Mona Lisa, which are considered a great source of pride and inspiration for the country’s people and mankind.
In conclusion, this outstanding matter has sparked several opposing opinions about this statement. As far as I am concerned, each type of arts and science have its own benefit and drawbacks, which will be suitable for each person’s perception.
