There is a popular opinion that tourism brings only good to the country. I fully agree that tourism improves the country and has a great impact on society and human relationships, as it plays a crucial role in the economy and allows people to strengthen their relationships.
First of all, it is tourism that drives the economy as a key contributor, as it stimulates local industries by boosting demand for services and products, creating new jobs, which leads to an increase in revenue. These factors bring benefits to a country by reducing global issues such as poverty, unemployment and so on. For instance, Kazakhstan’s economy has seen a significant upsurge since it hosted the EXPO in 2017. As a result, as soon as many foreigners have been attracted by this event, the Kazakh government leveraged an advantage from it, using the money they received from the tourism. Moreover, the government often pays attention to the infrastructure in order to improve tourism further, in such cases it is not only beneficial for the development of a country but also for its residents, as such improvements make their lives easier, especially if it comes to roads, public transportation systems and buildings.
Furthermore, tourism brings people together, given that it enables individuals to communicate with others from different backgrounds. This advantage allows people to create a greater sense of understanding human-beings and obtain deeper knowledge of foreign cultures, traditions and languages. In addition, if citizens become accustomed to visitors from other countries, it will immense the tolerance. Ultimately, our world will become more united, making it a better place to live. For example, several decades ago, Vietnam was known primarily for the devastation of war and political isolation. However, in recent years, the growth of international tourism has reshaped the country’s image and mindset. As millions of travelers visit Vietnam each year, communities have become more open and welcoming to diverse cultures. This increased exposure has fostered greater understanding, reduced prejudice, and contributed to a more tolerant society.
All things considered, tourism plays a prominent role in a sustainable economy and human relationships, by enabling people to connect with one another and developing the infrastructure, industries and jobs from numerous fields.
