Band 7+: Some people believe that individual actions can make a significant impact on environmental issues. Others think only governments and large organizations can make a difference. Discuss both views and give your opinion.

While some argue that individual actions have more impact on environmental issues, there are people who believe that governments and other organizations are responsible in this case. However, I think that both individuals and government share the same responsibility in improvements in our society.

Without any doubt, people can make a considerable impact on our natural environment. First, as many issues are caused by individuals, they have to take care of nature regardless of location. For example, even throwing litter into a special container, instead of lakes or lands, can affect the surrounding positively. Consequently, people can find a way to reduce the level of contamination on roads and contribute to keeping them clean, which is also one of the major problems around the world. In addition, without individual approaches, it can be a real challenge to raise public awareness about the importance of nature. The more people contribute to keeping our planet clean, the more achievable it becomes to diminish environmental issues.

From another point of view, many organisations and governments also play a key role in improving ecological conditions, primarily by encouraging people to be passionate about global problems. This means that the number of programs and regulations created with the help of organizations are able to engage individuals with prizes and rewards, which at the same time can keep people interested in helping the community stay clean. For example, the government-created program “Eco Life” in my country, Uzbekistan, has gained widespread recognition across the region and attracted significant attention. Thanks to these governmental approaches, we individuals feel more concerned about the environment.

Personally, I would state that both individual and governmental approaches are important in order to solve environmental issues. Collaboration of these two may lead us to an even better development and revolution, not only making progress in this field but also motivating people with some sort of rewards.

In conclusion, although both individual and government actions have a huge impact on addressing environmental problems, I believe both should share equal responsibility through combined efforts.
