The process begins with the extraction of uranium from the ground. Followed by the extraction, the metal must be transformed into a usable form known as U-235 fuel pellets. After the conversion, the pellets are taken to a giant power plant where the fuel is used to make electrical energy, for household needs and the national grid.

Subsequently, within 4 years the fuel is fully consumed. Despite that, some of the remnants can be re-used and processed again for power supply. Eventually, the pellets are unusable and is safely secured into containers for burial. After the fuel has been buried the flowchart ends.

To recapitulate, the flow diagram begins with the extraction of uranium from the mines. Natural uranium needs to be converted to fuel pellets to be burnt as fuel. This fuel is partially recycled and the remaining returns to the ground in special containers.
