In a bulk of people’s opinions, the significant development in various fields leads to the redundancy of choices for human. I totally agree with this statement and believe that this realistic situation can create many pros and cons to everyone’s life.
To begin with simple things like the diversity of clothes for all of ages, body shapes or the improvement in transportation help the competition between companies become fairer, avoiding exclusives. Thereby, the customers’ rights will be protected more since they can comfortably give the most suitable choice for them with a little pressure. Unlike in the past, when almost previous generations lived in the backwardness and poverty, in a specific field, there were a few business operations. Therefore, people were considerably influenced by these businesses. For example, long time ago, in agricultural countries, the market just had one or two fertilizer producers which had a great power on both economy and politics. That was the reason why whether farmers wanted or not, must buy such products, regardless their quality.
However, because of too much choices, it is time-consuming for some individuals to make decision when they are responsible for their choices, especially, important decisions affecting the future. For instance, in education, numerous high school students spend a whole day, week or even a month carefully considering which university they will apply in. This may put them on pressure as the fee in a college is not cheap and the time to finish courses is so long. And students also face challenges once choosing between careers that they really like and careers which are relevant to the times.
In conclusion, choice overload changes people’s life. Overall, this brings us more advantages than disadvantages. Nevertheless, remember that many choices may create risks for deciders. So, being wise in the way we decide something is extremely essential for everybody.
