The bar chart compares the proportions of three-age groups of Australian children in terms of attendance in four kinds of pastimes in 2012.
Overall, a Watching TV was the most preferable activity among all age brackets, while the reverse was true for art. It is also clear that children who aged from 12 to 16 were more active in three out of four activities, except for art.
Looking first of all at watching TV, the oldest age group represented approximately 100% of Australian children, followed closely by 9-10 age bracket with over 90%, and finally the youngest age category at around 90%. However, at Riding the bike, these all age groups showed smaller proportions, with children aged from 12 to 16 at 80%, the 5-8 age range at around 75%, and lastly, those who aged from 9 to 11 at over 60%.
Focusing on the remaining pastimes, children aged from 9 to 11 and 12 to 16 had similar figures at about 70%, while 9 to 11 age category showed less, just over 60%. Art was more common between children within the 5-8 demographic, followed closely by 9-11 and 12-16 age groups with respective figures of approximately 55% and 50%.
